What affects installed cost
The equipment is only one part of the project. Radiator upgrades, cylinder changes, controls, electrical work, insulation, commissioning, and access can all affect the final quote.
Grant support may reduce upfront cost, but eligibility and values should be checked directly through official sources.
Running cost example
If an Irish home needs 14,000 kWh of heat and an air source heat pump achieves SCOP 3.0, estimated heating electricity use is about 4,667 kWh.
Multiply that by your actual electricity price, then compare with your current oil, gas, or electric heating cost on a useful-heat basis.
